The Accounting Analyst is responsible for day to day accounting functions for a medical device manufacturing company.
Work collaboratively with other accountants within organization
Process and manage A/P, A/R and G/L entries on a timely basis
Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
Ensure accuracy of client billing activities
Manage and prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
Perform fixed asset, general ledger, inventory, and inventory reserve accounting for manufacturing locations
Create, monitor, and post accruals and journal entries
Perform monthly account reconciliations
Document workflow, procedures, checklists, and policies for assigned tasks
Ensure all deadlines and schedules are met on time
Confirm and abide by all internal procedures, policies, and regulatory guidance
Ensure compliance with applicable standards(i.e. GAAP, FASB), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related fields preferred
Ability to work cordially with people of different backgrounds in the organization
Ability to share knowledge and information at different levels of the organization
Must be customer friendly and focused with strong attention to detail
Strong familiarity with productivity tools, such as Microsoft Excel
Prior experience using NetSuite or similar ERP system preferred
Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
